TERMS & CONDITIONS
Last updated: September 1, 2026 · Effective immediately
By downloading, installing, or using GOBAND ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. About GOBAND
GOBAND is an application for musicians and bands available on iOS (via the Apple App Store) and on the web at app.gobandapp.com. An Android version is in development. It provides tools including an instrument tuner, chord library, metronome, song builder, band scheduling, team chat, and CCLI reporting.
2. Eligibility & Accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country if that is higher, to use GOBAND.
- You may create an account using Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, or an email address and password.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must not create accounts for others without their permission.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use GOBAND only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Use the App to transmit spam, harmful, abusive, or illegal content.
- Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users through band chat or any other feature.
- Upload or share content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or exploit the App or its backend infrastructure.
- Use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our servers or services.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity.
4. Band Chat
GOBAND includes a real-time band chat feature. By using this feature, you agree that:
- You will communicate respectfully with other band members.
- You will not share offensive, explicit, or illegal content in the chat.
- Messages are visible to all current members of your band.
- Band admins have the ability to remove members and manage access.
- We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms if reported to us.
5. Your Content
You retain ownership of any content you create within GOBAND, including songs, lyrics, chord charts, and recordings. By using the App, you grant GOBAND a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you and your band members.
Songs you share with your band are visible to that band's members only. They are not published publicly or shared with other GoBand users.
We do not claim ownership of your content and will never use it for marketing or share it publicly without your explicit consent.
6. Authentication & Third-Party Services
GOBAND uses Google Firebase as its backend platform and supports authentication via Google and Apple. By using these sign-in methods, you also agree to:
- Google Terms of Service (when signing in with Google)
- Apple Media Services Terms (when signing in with Apple)
- Firebase / Google Privacy Policy
7. GOBAND Pro Subscriptions
GoBand is free to use. Some features require a paid subscription called GoBand Pro.
What Pro includes
GOBAND Pro unlocks creating a band, the shared band song library, scheduling services and setlists, managing members and roles, band announcements, and sharing song cards. The tuner, metronome, recordings, chord library, personal songs, and joining a band created by someone else remain free.
GoBand Pro is offered as a monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription. Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
How you pay
All payments are processed by the app store you subscribed through — Apple for iPhone and iPad, Google Play for Android — and not by GoBand. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings or your Google Play subscriptions, depending on where you subscribed. GoBand cannot cancel or refund a subscription on your behalf; refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies.
Subscriptions are per person, and one person pays for a band
When you create a band, your subscription is what keeps that band's Pro features available to everyone in it. The other members of your band are not charged, and do not need their own subscription to take part.
If a band's subscription ends
Nothing is deleted at any point. Your band's services, setlists, songs, chat history and files all remain stored.
For the first 7 days, nothing changes — the band works exactly as before. Cards fail for boring reasons, and a team should not lose a Sunday to a billing problem.
After 7 days, the band becomes read-only. Everything stays visible to every member, but editing stops: no new services, no changes to setlists, no adding or removing songs, no member changes, and no announcements. This applies to the band's director and admins as well as its members.
After 60 days, the band is locked. Its content is no longer displayed in the app until a subscription is renewed. Your data is still stored and is not deleted — renewing at any time restores everything exactly as it was.
Two things keep working throughout the read-only period, because a billing problem should not stop a band communicating: band chat, and responding to a service.
At any point, members can leave a band and a director can delete one, without needing to subscribe first.
CCLI reporting
GoBand can produce a usage report showing which songs your band has used and when. This is for your own record-keeping. GoBand is not affiliated with CCLI, does not submit reports to CCLI on your behalf, and is not a substitute for a CCLI licence. You remain responsible for holding the correct licences and for reporting your usage.
Free trials
Free trials. Where a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. The trial length and price shown in the app at the time of purchase are the terms that apply.
8. Intellectual Property
The GOBAND name, logo, app design, and all original content within the App are the intellectual property of GOBAND and protected by copyright law. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our written permission.
9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
GOBAND is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The App will be available at all times or free from errors.
- The tuner or pitch-detection features will be accurate in all environments.
- Data stored in the App will never be lost (always back up important content).
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GOBAND shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
10. Account Termination
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. If you need help, contact us at hello@gobandapp.com. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice.
If you delete your account, you will no longer be able to sign in or access GoBand. Your bands and their content — services, setlists, songs and chat history — remain available to the other members of those bands, and are not deleted. See section 7 for what happens to a band's Pro features when a subscription ends.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email. Your continued use of GOBAND after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, and any dispute arising from them will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Spanish courts. If you are a consumer, this does not affect any rights you have under the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.
13. Your Data
You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@gobandapp.com. Deleting your account removes your sign-in credentials. Your personal data and songs will be deleted. Content you contributed to a band — services, setlists and chat history — remains available to that band's other members, as described in section 10.
